Our next exhibition is very 'material' led and I thought I would share this quote with you by the Japanese designer and weaver Junichi Arai, He talks about materials in these words.
' All artistic expression is by means of materials. Materials are words. The combination of words result in a semantic style used to create expressive form. Our task at the present time is to develop a new method of composition, by discovering newborn words and abandoning dead words.'
