Blue and white.

Work in progress for my exhibition at Newark Park, N.T. Ozleworth, with my friend Rosemary Cochrane ( June 11th-27th July.) We made a visit last week to see the snowdrops in all their glory and another peek into the blue and white china cabinet.

Hedges

Currently fascinated by the rhythms and calligraphy of winter hedgerows I showed this piece of work at last Sunday's meeting. More about it on my page of the blog.

The Broderers are considering adding to the membership. Any new member would need a good level of practice and experience and be able to participate in all our activities
We all value the interaction and mutual support that group membership brings We meet together on a regular basis and as a consequence we have found that it is best that members come from the local area around Bath...Bristol...Gloucestershire. We are not in a hurry and are happy to wait for the right people.

Linking ...

I thought I might carry on with the knit and crochet theme too to start this post!
Wrist warmer mittens have been a favourite in my family this winter

To have a look at more detail about these click on this January post at boostitch

At our last meeting at Liz Harding's home I also photographed some details of kantha stitch on a couple of beautiful cushions - inspiring!

My interest was caught as I had been teaching a workshop on kantha at Heartspace Studios
A little sample of various stitch patterns:

Luddites United

We will see if this will post, if so I'm with you
Carolyn

Hurrah I'm on the blogspot!! Liz Harding has been very patient....  We are now practising. This is what I have been looking at.

Blogging

Some of us Luddites are spending a morning with Liz Harding trying to sort out being able to put posts on the BBs blog. It would be far easier stitching than all this techy stuff!

more knitting

And here is a bit of my random knitting with which I wile away a winter evening trying out patterns and colours. I pick up stitches from any side of the piece and knit until I am bored with it then change colour or cast off and begin again. some sections are joined with crochet, some edges crocheted and some stitched together.
This has been growing for several years and will continue to do so. At the moment it comfortably covers my knees. Double bed cover here we come!!!
