Strangeness and Charm

Here is my piece for our trail which will be in 'Strangeness and Charm Vintage Boutique' from tomorrow,

7 Gloucester Street, Stroud GL5 1QG -a place full of wonderful treasures! 

This little cutwork family dress has a stitched piece, 'Georgie's hands' temporarily attached. 

My work for Curious Drawers includes pieces of drawn and stitched family hands.

Susi's doll's vest

When I was a little girl my mother knitted a vest for my favourite doll and I clearly remember watching her and listening to the sound of the knitting needles.

The vest is in my 'Curious Drawers' and so is my stitched response - here it is 'in the making'.

Detail of my work for the Curious Drawers exhibition, the piece is entitled "Meet June at the Tate" and is about the lost, forgotten and secreted lists and writings that I have found recently whilst sorting out my Grandma's things. It is slowly coming together and I am really excited about seeing all of the work that the BB's have created for the exhibition completed, think that it is going to be FAB!!!!!
