postcard project continues with help
Please keep sending in your postcard creations, we love receiving them and adding them to the collection.
Two cards came today with a very flora and forna theme, not sure if they are from the same person or if serendipity is at play.
Another beautiful donation from Heather Anne.
Monday 18th September, the Textiles for Thought discussion group met at my house today and we sat around the dining table busying our hands whilst we talked. Many thanks to Liz Hewitt, Deborah Pawle, Patricia Brownen and Janet Clarke for their wonderful creative contribution while we discussed the range of exhibitions we'd seen over the summer.
Many thanks to Heather Anne for sending us this fabulous postcard.
Very excited to receive the first two postcards. Both very different and both wonderful.
We were pleased to see how many people took our postcards from the exhibition at 44AD last week and from the West Country Quilt and Textile show the weekend before. Many thanks to those who took them. We can't wait to see what you have done and including them into our next exhibition in Bampton.

Altered postcards
Another batch of postcards that have been altered ready to pass on to the others to re-alter. Using our own themes of work. I use this exercise ,the dark art of procrastination, as a warm up to the real work for the gallery in 44AD Bath, haha!

Postcard packing party
Kay, Liz, Steph & Carla spent a lovely day together on Wednesday sorting our individual artists postcards into packs and then wrapping them with individual handmade wrappers.

The wrappers waiting to be wrapped around the postcards.
The completed packs ready for our exhibition at Nature in Art. Each postcard pack contains 12 individual postcards about each member of BB's.

Me too!
These are just about ready - paper folded, silk scraps stitched and buttons sewn on.
I loved the repetition of processes - cutting, folding, stitching - 30 times
Looking forward to seeing the cards back from the printers!
Must start to prepare the short Talk for Wednesday 19th August about preparing for the Exhibition and showing images of the BB's 'work in progress' towards it....
